The biggest culture shock I have ever experienced in my 2.5 years living in Europe happened in a restaurant.

I was working as a server and a customer ordered a drink, and he said he wanted a "fongta".

And I thought, "WTF is a fongta?" Did I mishear it? Did he want a Chaudfontaine (a brand for mineral water)?

Apparently, it's just Fanta pronounced the French way.

A good reason to work on Monday-Friday only: When there is a technical issue and you're dependent on someone else to help, you can get help ASAP, at least on that day, because it's a business day. Whereas if you work on weekends and you're having trouble, well you can only cry about it.
